Is there a job more stressful than that of a 30-something mistress in 1980s Manhattan? That is (not at all) the question asked in the fake orgasm-level powerhouse of 1989’s When Harry Met Sally. While our protagonist Sally Albright — a journalist (?) — spends the film’s 90 minutes ordering an apple pie à la mode, her BFF Marie — a Barney’s window dresser (?) — has work to do. And it’s not just designing that thing with the hostages and the blindfolds.
